Our Story
GreenU began with field work in the highlands of Northwest Vietnam — with one conviction: sustainable development must start from within the community itself.
GreenU was founded in 2016 on a clear premise: that sustainable development is not a technical endpoint but a process of transformation — one led from the internal capacity of local communities.
Over the following seven years, GreenU worked alongside farmers, cooperatives and businesses across 15 provinces. Rather than applying a ready-made model, the organisation developed solutions grounded in each local context — sustainable solutions prove effective only when they fit the specific conditions on the ground.

In 2025, GreenU restructured around the Teal model to better serve its long-term direction. From a coordinating centre, it became an open ecosystem in which its units, spaces and practice communities operate and grow impact-driven models together.
Today GreenU operates as an ecosystem of five complementary spaces that learn, accompany and co-create green solutions with communities and businesses. The organisation continues to broaden its collaboration with partners who share its commitment to sustainable development.
