🌿 THE “SUSTAINABLE AGRICULTURE” COURSE – A STOP TO REFLECT AND TO ACT
On 14 August 2024, the “Sustainable Agriculture” course, organised by GreenU in partnership with SIB Hub, was held successfully as part of the training programme series for social impact businesses (SIBs).
With the aspiration to accompany agricultural enterprises on their journey towards sustainable – responsible – community-connected development, the course provided a solid and practical knowledge foundation, from theory to application.
🍀 SUSTAINABLE AGRICULTURE – MORE THAN JUST FARMING
The course helps participants clearly understand the nature of sustainable agriculture, based on the balance among three core elements:
- Economy: ensuring stable, long-term profitability
- Society: protecting workers’ rights and connecting communities
- Environment: preserving resources and protecting biodiversity
🌾 Sustainable agriculture is not only about “clean production”, but also a way of thinking about responsibility to the land – to people – to the future.
🌱 SUSTAINABLE AGRICULTURE – PRACTICAL BENEFITS FOR THE COMMUNITY
The course also emphasised that:
Practising sustainable agriculture = investing in the quality of life.
Applying the sustainable model will:
- Help reduce poverty in rural areas
