🌿 NET ZERO & Sustainability Standards – Benefits for Business & the Planet

On the afternoon of 26 November 2024, GreenU attended the Workshop “Strengthening the capacity to support enterprises in practising sustainability standards on the environment, gender equality and social inclusion in business governance” – organised by the Women Entrepreneurs Leadership (WELEAD) Network, with technical support from the USAID IPSC Project and the Agency for Enterprise Development – Ministry of Planning and Investment.

🌱 Sustainable enterprises – A protected environment

Speaking at the workshop, Mr Duong Tran Anh Tuan – Training Director of GreenU emphasised:

“Practising environmental sustainability standards, in particular reducing greenhouse gas emissions, is not only a responsibility but also an opportunity. Enterprises can save costs, optimise energy use, comply with legal regulations, and at the same time improve their image and attract investment.”

Adopting a low-emission model also helps enterprises move closer to global standards, ready to reach further within international supply chains.

🔍 ESG – A toolkit for measuring sustainability

Ms Nguyen Thi Thu Trang – Director of GreenU introduced the ESG (Environmental – Social – Governance) Assessment Toolkit published by the Agency for Enterprise Development. This is a practical tool that enables enterprises to:

✅ Self-assess the current status of their operations
✅ Identify areas that need improvement in the environment and governance
✅ Set a clear direction to enhance operational effectiveness and meet international standards on sustainable development

ESG is no longer an “option” – it is becoming a core standard in modern governance, especially for enterprises aiming at the global market.
