GreenU Meets DAV Master's Students – Spreading the Values of Sustainable Development

Today, Sustainable development is becoming a global trend and an indispensable orientation in every field – from the economy and society to the environment. According to the definition of the International Institute for Sustainable Development (IISD), it is a process of development that meets present needs without negatively affecting the ability of future generations to develop.
With its vision of “Building a green community”, GreenU is proud to be one of the pioneering social enterprises pursuing the sustainable development goals in Vietnam. We aim to promote business models that are responsible towards society and the environment, while providing practical support to vulnerable communities.
During an exchange session with the International Communication class of the Master’s programme at the Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam (DAV), Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh Van – Director of GreenU – shared in depth about the journey of implementing sustainable development through concrete activities:
Notable fields GreenU is implementing:
- 🌱 Sustainable agriculture: Advising, designing and implementing ecological agriculture models at Lang Xanh Farm, Camta Farm, and Thien Luong Traditional Medicine Forest Garden; organising quarterly courses on sustainable agriculture.
- 🧵 Supporting community livelihoods: Developing internal capacity and creating sustainable livelihoods for ethnic minority communities in Son La, Lao Cai, Bac Kan, etc.
- 🤝 Promoting social impact businesses (SIB): Providing in-depth consulting services, organising networking, training and free product display support, and operating the SIB Support Centre – SIBHub.
The sharing session received lively interest and many positive responses from the students. The opinions, ideas and eager learning spirit of the younger generation are a great source of motivation for GreenU to continue its journey of sustainable development and to spread a green lifestyle within the community.
✨ GreenU would like to sincerely thank the Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam and the students for accompanying us in this inspiring sharing session. We hope there will be many more opportunities for cooperation and meetings in the future – together building a greener and more sustainable Vietnam.
