🌱 Promoting Business & Leadership for Women Entrepreneurs in Lao Cai

Awakening inner strength – Elevating mindset – Spreading sustainable development

Within the framework of the GREAT Project – Women's Economic Empowerment and Rural Development, a series of three-day business incubation and acceleration courses was held in Lao Cai Province, bringing together 26 women-owned enterprises – most of them from local ethnic minority groups.

The courses focused on practical content, closely aligned with the development needs of small and micro enterprises:

✅ Gaining a clear understanding of target customers, identifying the real problems and needs of the market.
✅ Developing optimal business solutions, ensuring that products meet standards for quality, packaging, design and market circulation.
✅ Strengthening financial management capacity, including tax risk management and financial reporting skills.
✅ Developing leadership skills, building effective teams and enhancing personal influence within the community.

🗣️ Voices from the participants: “I will apply this right away!”

Ms. Tai Thi Thao, representative of Xoi Hoa Nang, shared:
"The course content was very practical, easy to understand and truly useful for those doing business. I was especially impressed by the teaching approach that inspires self-reliance and helped me feel more confident. I will apply the knowledge on customer development to my work right away."

Ms. Lang Thi Liu, owner of a medicinal herbal tea business:
"I really enjoyed the part on the lean business model and problem-solving skills. I hope the project will expand so that many other women can take part in this learning. I will apply it right away to develop my own signature tea product."

🌾 A driving force for sustainable development from within the community

The programme not only provided knowledge but also opened up opportunities to connect and learn from one another, thereby enhancing the competitiveness of women-owned enterprises, especially ethnic minority women who are step by step affirming their leadership role in local economic development.
