🌿 Ethnic minority women – Creators of sustainable change

The GREAT (Gender Responsive Equitable Agriculture and Tourism) project is actively promoting gender equality and empowering women, particularly ethnic minority women in the North-West region of Vietnam. Within the framework of the WEL subproject, implemented by GreenU and iChange in cooperation with the Women's Union of Son La and Lao Cai provinces, training and support activities have helped strengthen the leadership and business skills of women entrepreneurs – women who overcome difficulties every day to build sustainable livelihoods.

💪 When women are empowered, communities transform

In the highlands of the North-West, ethnic minority women face not only the gender gap but also many responsibilities: from caring for their families to running their businesses and contributing to their communities. The GREAT project believes that, when they gain access to the right tools and knowledge, they are fully capable of becoming active leaders who create change for themselves and for their entire community.

In our latest article, we invite you to explore the inspiring journeys of Ms. Dinh Thi Tuyen and Ms. Truong Thi Kieu Linh – two ethnic minority women who have undergone a powerful transformation after taking part in the leadership training courses offered by the GREAT project. From once "shouldering" every task themselves, they have learned to build teams, delegate effectively, and lead their communities toward shared development.

They have not only developed sustainable business models but have also become sources of inspiration, helping to spread positive values throughout society.
