📈 Steady Amid Change – Confident Toward the Future

In an economic context that is increasingly competitive and volatile, possessing effective negotiation skills and the ability to proactively manage risk is the “soft weapon” that helps entrepreneurs – especially women entrepreneurs from ethnic minorities – sustain and expand their businesses in a durable way.

With the aim of strengthening this capacity, the GREAT Project, in coordination with the Women’s Union of Lao Cai and Son La provinces, organised in-depth training courses dedicated to women who are running local production groups and business models.

🎯 Learn to Practise – Practise to Grow Strong

The course focused on two essential skill areas:

  1. Negotiation skills:
    • Defining negotiation goals and strategies.
    • Applying customer psychology in communication.
    • Responding flexibly to real-life situations while maintaining long-term cooperative relationships.
    • Practising through simulations and real-life scenarios, helping learners truly absorb and apply the knowledge to their own business work.
  2. Risk management:
    • Identifying and assessing risks in business.
    • Analysing the market and forecasting fluctuations.
    • Developing response plans and building contingency options to stay proactive in every circumstance.

💬 Voices from Those Involved

“I realised that negotiation is not something distant, but something that happens every day – from the family to work. I now understand better how to frame an issue, reach agreement and manage a situation. In particular, I saw the importance of risk management – if you are not well prepared, even a small incident can greatly affect income and business operations.”
Ms. Pham Thi Ben, Hop Thanh Green Rice Incense Production Group, Lao Cai province.

🤝 Connect – Learn – Accompany

Beyond being a place to access knowledge, the programme also created a space for connection, where women entrepreneurs share experiences, support one another and spread the spirit of leadership. After the training, learners will continue to be guided in building risk-prevention plans suited to the actual conditions of each business model.

🚀 Confident – Proactive – Innovative

The GREAT Project and its partners are committed to continuing to accompany ethnic minority women on their journey of rising up and developing flexible, creative and sustainable business models.
