💎 Honouring the pioneers of sustainable development
SIB CONNECT 2024 is the standout event of the year for the community of Social Impact Businesses (SIB) in Vietnam. The event is not only a place to meet and connect, but also an occasion to recognise and honour outstanding individuals – those who have contributed to building an increasingly strong and sustainable SIB ecosystem.
One of the proudest highlights of the event was the recognition given to Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh Van – Director of GreenU Social Enterprise, who was honoured as one of the leading representatives for her persistent effort and creative thinking on the journey to advance sustainable development in Vietnam.
🌱 GreenU – From pioneer to a platform connecting the SIB ecosystem
GreenU does not stop at the role of a social enterprise, but also takes on the role of operating the Support Centre for Social Impact Businesses (SIB Hub) – an important initiative within the framework of the Project:
“Supporting the Ecosystem of Social Impact Businesses in Vietnam to Respond to COVID-19 (ISEE-COVID)”,
funded by Global Affairs Canada (GAC) and jointly implemented by UNDP in coordination with the Agency for Enterprise Development (AED) – Ministry of Planning and Investment.

In its role as a centre for connection, support and the spreading of value, the SIB Hub operated by GreenU has created positive impacts, reflected in:

Including 263 social impact businesses and 18 intermediary organisations, joining forces to build a sustainable support network. - 🎓 09 in-depth training courses:
Focused on practical topics such as financial management, marketing, leadership, soft skills, sustainable agriculture, the circular economy… - 🤝 21 connection & sharing events:
Creating opportunities for trade, investment connection and expanded cooperation among businesses, investment funds, non-governmental organisations and domestic and international partners. - 🏢 02 creative support spaces:
Spaces for product display, event organisation and co-working – where SIB businesses can promote themselves, cooperate and grow.
